Limassol, a vibrant city in Cyprus, is set to further enhance its attractiveness with the planned construction of a new shopping mall. This ambitious project, named the “Mall of Limassol,” is expected to be a significant addition to the city’s landscape, particularly in the area between the Jumbo store and Agios Stefanos foundation buildings. With an investment of €80 million, the mall will be strategically located at the juncture of Limassol, Agios Athanasios, and Mesa Geitonia municipalities, along Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue.
The proposed development is envisioned to house a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and entertainment facilities, alongside 1045 parking spaces. A key sustainable feature of this project is the installation of solar panels on the rooftop, aimed at fulfilling a portion of the mall’s energy requirements.
Real estate agency Sunny Bay views this development as a significant boost to the area’s viability, citing a lack of similar-class shopping centers in the vicinity. This advancement is anticipated to increase the value of properties in the region, making it an attractive spot for real estate investment. The construction, slated to begin in 2024, is expected to take approximately one year and ten months, creating around 700 permanent job opportunities for Cyprus residents.
This new development not only promises to enhance the shopping experience in Limassol but also signifies a potential uplift in the real estate market, making it an opportune moment for investors to consider property purchases in this thriving Cypriot city.
